
A dialogue session entitled "A Constitution That Protects Us" was held at Ezdina in the Yazidi House in Tirbespiyê, where the most prominent demands of the joint presidency of the Syriac Union Party, were presented to the participants in this session.
Mr. Bassam Isac from Washington also participated in the session, who demanded during the session the rights of Christians, especially Syriacs, because of the marginalization of their rights in the constitutional committee.
The most prominent demands of the participants, including the co-chair of the Syriac Union Party, who participated in the session, were as follows:
• Recognition of the rights of the components of the Syrian people.
• Recognizing the components: Syriac-Assyrians and the Kurds.
• Respect for all religions (Islam, Christianity and Yazidism).
• Considering the Syriac and Kurdish languages as official national languages, similar to the Arabic language.
• The form of administration is decentralization and consolidation of the concept of democracy.
• The release of political prisoners.
• Reconstruction of all the destroyed cities in the Syrian war.
• Preventing demographic change in the region and in Syria in general.
