
At the invitation of Ezdina Organization, a delegation from the Future Syria Party participated in a dialogue session entitled "A Constitution That Protects Us", on Saturday 12 June 2021, at the Yazidi House in Tirbespiyê.
The delegation consisted of the Vice-President of the Qamishlo Council, Rihab Mohammad, the spokeswoman for the Women's Council of the Jazira region, Zozan Shamo, and a number of the council members.
With the participation of many organizations and political parties, in addition to representatives of social and media institutions, the session began with a minute of silence in remembrance to the souls of the martyrs.
The goal of the project was to emphasize the importance of the political process in Geneva, and to familiarize the local community with everything that is happening in the United Nations, regarding the negotiations taking place on the future of a political solution in Syria.
The session dealt with several axes about the work and establishment of the Syrian Constitutional Committee, the Geneva conferences and their results, the political process in Syria, and a discussion of the future vision for solving the Syrian crisis.
Where there was talk about the emergence and composition of the Constitutional Committee, the drawbacks of representing the committee, and the main reasons for its failure in its work so far. Emphasis was placed on supporting and supporting women’s freedom in Syria and the region, and their empowerment in the fields of struggle and work at all levels.
At the conclusion of the dialogue session, the attendees agreed on a set of recommendations and proposals for submission to the Constitutional Committee.
