
Ezdina Organization held its fifteenth dialogue session at the Yazidi House in the city of Tirbespiyê, within the project “A Constitution That Protects Us”, on 10.06.2021, where the session started at 11:30 and ended at 15:00.

Then the journalist Barzan Isso participated via the "Zoom", and spoke about the experience of several countries during the preparation of their constitutions, including Spain and the position of Catalonia during its marginalization and the acquisition of its rights.
Isso touched on the importance of formulating and controlling the economy and its impact on the formulation of constitutions and the preparation of their provisions, then he opened the door for discussion.
In the second axis, the member of the Constitutional Committee, Dr. Dorsen Oskan, via the “Zoom”, joined the session to talk about the establishment and composition of the Constitutional Committee and the drawbacks of representing the Committee in addition to talking about the main reasons for the failure of the Constitutional Committee in its work so far
Session results:
At the conclusion of the dialogue session, the attendees agreed on a set of recommendations and proposals to be submitted to the Syrian Constitutional Committee, including:
- Separation of powers and independence of the judiciary.
- Youth participation in political decision-making.
- Determining a percentage of youth representation in parliament and local councils.
- Gender equality in politics and economy
- Freedom of the press and media and access to information for all.
- Freedom of expression and opinion.
- Allocating a Ministry for Youth.
- Protection of female journalists.
- The right to establish organizations concerned with youth affairs.
- The constitution guarantees the rights of all components.
- Elimination of all forms of discrimination and hate speech in all its forms.
- Freedom to practice religious rites in all its forms for every religious component.
- The right to learn the mother tongue for all components.
- Preserving and protecting freedoms and human rights.
- Supporting the areas of the Autonomous Administration developmentally and economically.
- Permanent support for scientific research.
