Ezdina Organization dedicated its last dialogue session in the city of Tirbespiyê to civil society and clan leaders.
Ezdina held its eighteenth and last dialogue session on the work of the Constitutional Committee and the Geneva conferences within the project “A Constitution That Protects Us” on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Yazidi House in the town of Tirbespiyê, which included the demands and proposals of civil society and clan leaders in the region on drafting a constitution New for Syria.
The head of the Conservative Party, Talal Al-Asi, said that the dialogues and discussions were comprehensive, with the aim of submitting the outcomes and recommendations of the session to the Constitutional Committee.
Al-Asi indicated that there was criticism of the Constitutional Committee due to the lack of representation of the Autonomous Administration in it, according to Resolution 2254 issued by the UN Security Council.
In turn, the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party, Talal Mohammad, explained that holding sessions on the work of the Constitutional Committee are important in the society of North and East Syria in order to know the opinions of all components.
Mohammad added that there is no glimmer of hope for resolving the Syrian crisis now without serious steps to find a political solution to the crisis.
Mohammad pointed out that there is a wide spectrum of political forces in Northeastern Syria, in addition to the fact that an area of approximately 35 percent of Syria is run by the Autonomous Administration.
Mohammad stressed that the Autonomous Administration project has proven its worth to protect all components and can be relied upon for the sake of the future Syria that we call for, which is a decentralized, federal Syria.
In turn, the administrator of the reconciliation committees in Al-Jazeera region, Noureddin Shaker, said that the role of the people did not appear in the constitution, but he hopes to do so in the future, pointing out that as a Kurdish person he has no representation in the Constitutional Committee.
Shaker indicated that they are trying to convey their voice to the international institutions, the Constitutional Committee, and those concerned in order for the real representatives of the Kurds to participate in the committee, who can contribute to the development of a correct constitution in the future.
Shaker added that they do not have Kurdish representatives in the constitutional committee, hoping for the participation of Kurdish representatives in writing a Syrian constitution, without the pressures of foreign agendas.
For his part, the Director of the Media Office of Al-Sanadid Forces, Mohsen Al-Dulaimi, confirmed that the session was useful and that they raised the idea of all components of Syrian society participating in the Syrian Constitutional Committee.
Al-Dulaimi added that there should be no separation and discrimination between the Kurdish, Arab and Christian to come up with a successful constitution.
It is noteworthy that Ezdina launched a new project in Northeastern Syria, under the title "A Constitution That Protects Us", starting from February 23, 2021, for a period of three months.
