The photojournalist, Mohammad Hasan said that despite the many negotiations that took place in Geneva, they had failed so far, due to the lack of positive results, pointing out that the Syrian people have become exhausted by the war.
Hasan's speech came during his participation in the seventh dialogue session organized by Ezdina Organization as part of the project "A Constitution That Protects Us", in the city of Hasaka, with the participation of a group of media professionals and representatives of media institutions and photojournalists.
Hasan explained that the solution is to conclude a real truce and ceasefire in all parts of Syria, to liberate the areas occupied by Turkey, pointing out that the Turkish occupation forces targeted media professionals during their aggression on the areas of Syria, which led to the loss of some journalists' lives.
Hasan called for a constitution that unites Syrians, not a constitution drawn up by Russia or Turkey according to the dimensions of their "mercenaries", adding that the rights of the people must be preserved within a free and independent Syria, and not excluding any component or minority on the issue of political, cultural and religious rights within the new constitution of Syria, stressing the need to represent regions of North and East Syria in the Constitutional Committee.
Hasan added that fair elections must be held under international monitoring, pointing out that the resolution voted by the United Nations on December 18, 2015, which provides for peace talks in Syria, was a correct decision that would have contributed to the participation of the Syrian people in determining their fate, has not been implemented on the ground.
The Kurdish journalist concluded his speech by saying that all differences inside Syria must be resolved after it has been proven that the solution to the Syrian crisis from outside Syria has failed through the "Geneva, Astana and Sochi" conferences, as the solution must be from within Syria with the guarantee of the active powers, the great countries and the United Nations, and the drafting of a constitution that guarantees the rights of all Syrian components without exception.
