North-Press Agency correspondent, Jindar Abdulqader said that the international will represented by effective power and superpowers determines the fate of the Syrian people, and there is no significant influence of the media on the Syrian arena, except for what serves the agendas of the countries active in the Syrian crisis.
Abdulqader’s speech came during his participation in the seventh dialogue session organized by Ezdina Organization as part of its project "A Constitution That Protects Us", in Hasaka with the participation of a group of media professionals and representatives of media institutions and photojournalists.
Abdulqader explained that what the media in Syria does to highlight the crises and living difficulties that the people of the region suffer from. However, the influence of the media on the authorities' decisions is very limited.
Abdulqader added that the active forces do what they want in the Syrian crisis, and employ the media and the reports that are accomplished in favor of their agendas, such as the tragedy of the Kurdish child "Alan", which is an example of some regional countries exploiting the incident in order to obtain some support and use it for the benefit of their agendas.
The Kurdish journalist concluded his speech by saying that the international forces and actors determine the fate of the Syrian people, while Syrians and their media have no role.
