The Ezdina Organization dedicated its second dialogue session within the project "A Constitution That Protects Us" to the youth group. The second dialogue session was held, on Monday, at Ezdina's office in the city of Qamishlo/Qamishli, in the presence of a group of young women and men.
Member of the Syriac Youth Union, Mariana Issa, said that youth should be given the opportunity to work in the political field more than before, that they should not be marginalized in the decision-making stage.
Issa added that the Constitutional Committee took into consideration the rights of all the Syrian components.
Issa pointed out that the youth presented a set of recommendations and proposals through the dialogue session to deliver them to the Syrian Constitutional Committee in Geneva.

For her part, the member of the We Are Hope Initiative, Reem Ahmed Khalil, stressed the importance of the dialogue session held by Ezdina to introduce the youth to the work of the Constitutional Committee, demanding that there should be seats and a good percentage of youth representation to participate in decision-making.

In his turn, a volunteer at Sanad Organization Siwar Melhem pointed out the importance of youth participation in drafting the future Syrian constitution, by increasing the percentage of youth representation in the constitutional committee.

In addition, the facilitator of the dialogue session, lawyer and legal advisor Omar Ali, stated that the dialogue session was dedicated to the youth in order to inform them of the political process that is taking place in the corridors of the United Nations.
Ali added that the youth group constitutes the largest segment in society, which is marginalized in the drafting of the constitution and laws, noting the importance of their participation and role in the future of Syria and its new constitution.

In turn, the member of media at Ezdina Organization, Avin Sheikhmous, said that a group of young people was targeted in the second dialogue session, as they are the most marginalized group in the region, and in order to know their demands and deliver them to the Syrian Constitutional Committee in Geneva.
It is noteworthy that Ezdina Organization launched its new project, in northeastern Syria, under the title "A Constitution That Protects Us", started on February 23, 2021, for a period of three months.
