Kajjo participated in a recorded video from Washington, which was shown during the first dialogue session held by the Ezdina Organization within the project "A Constitution that Protects Us", at the Ezdina's office in Qamishlo/Qamishli, in the presence of journalists and representatives of media institutions.
Kajjo added that the Kurds should focus on two important points in order to secure and protect their rights in the Syrian Constitutional Committee; The first is the form of the Syrian state, which has been talked about frequently, as the form of the state is the main point for the Kurds, so that the Kurds can play their role in the Syrian political process, especially since it is a minority in a country that is mostly made up of the Arab and Islamic component.
He added that the Kurds must participate in writing the constitution to reach the formula of a secular state in which the rights of the Kurds will be protected. In order to achieve it, the Kurds must build new relationships and friendships, not only with the Arab and Christian components living in the regions of northeastern Syria, but with other minorities aspiring to build a secular state, especially the sons of the "Druz and Alawi" components, in order to protect the rights of all the people of the region.
Kajjo added that the second point is, the role of the great powers in establishing and implementing the constitution of the future Syria, pointing out that the Kurds must build stronger relations with Russia given the importance of Russia's role in the political process and the drawing of the future of Syria.
Kajjo noted that the new Biden administration wants to play a better role in Syria during the next four years at least, pointing out that the Kurds must show seriousness in their political project, whether it is the Autonomous Administration project or the ongoing negotiations between the Kurdish parties.
Kajjo added that the Kurds must prove their seriousness in the political project so that America and its allies' support for the Kurds is not temporary, and that the Kurds at that time could be the reason for finding a solution to the political process in Syria in general, pointing out that the United States of America will work at that time in a real way to represent the Kurds in the constitutional committee and negotiations related to the Syrian situation in general.
It is noteworthy that Ezdina Organization launched a new project in northeastern Syria, under the title "A Constitution That Protects Us", started on February 23, 2021, for a period of three months.
