The member of the Joint Presidency of the Democratic Union Party, Saleh Muslim, explained that all that the Syrians know is that there are events that erupted under the name of the "Syrian revolution" calling for freedom and democracy, then the strings came out of the hands of the Syrians themselves, and that those who called for freedom and democracy and wanted the Syrian people to be free, were lost in this fray.
Muslim's speech came during his participation via the "Zoom", in the fifth dialogue session held by Ezdina Organization, last Thursday, in the city of Qamishlo/Qamishli within the project "A Constitution That Protects Us", in the presence of political leaders and representatives of political parties in the North and East of Syria.
Muslim added that every Syrian should sit down and think, after 10 years of the crisis, hundreds of thousands of victims, and millions of homeless people around the world, what will they do? And why do not they meet on a word that ends their crisis or at least gives them hope to get out of this crisis.
The Kurdish politician pointed out that the reason is that the regional powers that have intervened in Syria have formed committees, including the United Nations and other parties, and assigned some parties not to solve the crisis, but to manage the crisis for their own interests, pointing out that there are some regional countries such as Turkey that have stood since 8 years is an obstacle to the Syrian solution, as well as other regional and international powers.
Muslim emphasized that the Syrians are living in the crisis, because those who cared about Syria and pretended that they want a solution for Syria, they do not really want a solution, but rather want to manage the crisis in favor of the plans for which they are working, and that all the efforts that have taken place so far are taking place in this regard.
Muslim added that the Constitutional Committee was formed because the Russian side and those with it wanted to bypass Resolution 2254 that was adopted in Geneva and adopted by the Security Council.
The member of the Joint Presidency of the Democratic Union Party said that the Syrian people until now are still like the person standing in the desert and seeing a light, but running behind him without the light leading him anywhere, then seeing a path in front of him and walking in it to find mazes.
Muslim added that every Syrian and all Syrian powers must think about our current situation, pointing out that the solution is in the hands of sincere Syrians who really want a solution, and do not want to be part of the crisis cells that manage the crisis for the benefit of the powers that dominate it.
Muslim pointed out that the Democratic Autonomous Administration region in which /5/ million people live, those who manage their affairs despite the difficulties they face, are not represented in the Constitutional Committee, wondering if this can be called justice.
Muslim noted that the lack of agreement on one or two names from among the members chosen by the United Nations caused the formation of the committee to be postponed for several months, and therefore these committees cannot be called neutral and are unable to draw up a constitution that meets the aspirations of all Syrians.
The Kurdish politician added that Ezdina, which cares about the rights of the Yazidis, organizes these sessions, but there are no Yazidis participating in this committee, and the Yazidis do not have a word about what is happening in Syria.
Muslim pointed out that everyone talks about the Kurdish issue and its solution, but the Kurdish issue in Syria is the issue of democracy, so if democracy is established in Syria, the Kurds will reach their solutions, and the Kurdish people will obtain their rights, and that is within the Autonomous Administration that includes all Syrians. Just like the rest of the other components, and everyone can reach it, pointing out that solving the Kurdish issue separately and considering it a separatist issue is prejudice to the rights of the Kurds.
Muslim clarified that those who want to present the Kurdish issue as a separatist issue do not want the solution for the Syrian people.
Muslim noted that there are constants that must be understood, which is that the Syrian people, wherever they are, will not be satisfied with not being the decision-maker or participating in the political decision issued by the center in Damascus, indicating that the solutions are without the Syrian people are a participant in the decision, they will not be accepted.
The Kurdish politician added that it is not possible for the ethnicities in Syria and beliefs to live with each other without freedom, and without the presence of a voluntary decision.
Muslim emphasized that a democratic constitution should be drafted that befits the components and history of Syria, and that the constitution respects all nationalities and religions, otherwise there will be no solution in Syria.
Muslim pointed out that the committee that meets in Geneva has not yet agreed on the name of Syria, and this committee has not reached anything and will not reach this formation.
Muslim emphasized that the crisis management is the one that selected some people in the committees to express their opinion does not express the opinion of the Syrian people, pointing out that the opinion of the Syrian people must be chosen by themselves, there are parties, organizations and administration and everyone can express themselves, and this must be available in other regions of Syria to be formed Committees truly represent the Syrian people.
The Kurdish politician concluded his speech by saying that it is necessary to refer to the popular will and the will of the Syrian citizens to decide what they will do, indicating the importance of continuing these meetings in order to dialogue and listen to each other.
