The independent politician Marwan Alil, said that the dialogue session organized by Ezdina Organization on the constitution is very important, because all parties expressed their opinions transparently and presented their proposals on the constitution.
Akil added that he had some proposals for the Constitutional Committee regarding the rights of the Kurds, in addition to notes on the distribution of the Syrian governorates.
Akil called for working on a new structure and divisions for the regions where the Kurds distribute, because the current division makes them minorities compared to the Arab majority.
Akil explained that his proposal is to form three new governorates, namely “Qamishlo, Kobane and Derik", in addition to the previously existed Hasaka Governorate, so that there will be mini-parliaments in support of the main Parliament in Damascus.
Akil indicated that it would give the Kurds the power to establish supra-constitutional principles.
It is noteworthy that the independent politician, Marwan Akil, participated along with political leaders and representatives of political parties in the North and East of Syria, in the fifth dialogue session held by Ezdina Organization, on Thursday March 25th, in the city of Qamishlo/Qamishli.
