Avin Sheikhmos: "Ezdina Organization was established in 2017, one of its tasks was to document violations inside Syria, the new project called "A Constitution That Protects Us", aims to find out the recommendations and proposals of the people of the region to the Constitutional Committee in Geneva.
Avin Youssef, co-presidency of the Free Media Union: "Among the important recommendations that were raised was the gendering of the constitution, also taking into account the representation of women in the Constitutional Committee, establishing a quota system in order for women to be well represented within the constitution, changing and amending texts and legislations for women that provide for the exclusion and marginalization of women, and changing the Personal Status Law, especially Clauses related to women, as well as their representation in councils in equal proportions with men in political parties and decision-making centers".
